Bangor was today shaken by an earthquake with an epicentre off the coast of Anglesey near Caenarfon airport lasting a few seconds. The British Geological Survey measured the quake at 16:41 local time with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale and with a depth of 9km. The quake was felt throughout Anglesey, Gwynedd , Conwy and North Wales. This quake follows Britain’s biggest in seven years which measured 4.2 and hit Kent last Friday. This week saw the release of the latest installment in the popular StarCraft series – ‘StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm’ (HotS) for both PC and Mac. Voting began today for the four posts available in the 2012 Bangor Students’ Union Sabbatical Elections. This is the first year that the vote is being held online and the website went live this morning at 9am. All Bangor University students are eligible to vote and have from now until polls close at 14:00 on Wednesday 21st March. To ease the transition to online voting there are physical voting locations as well. The main ones are Students’ Union, Main Arts Reception, Adeilad Deiniol & Bar Uno.
