Art Society Upcycling – Sustainability Week

The Bangor Art Society held an upcycling workshop last week in celebration of sustainability week at the university. Upcycling is the idea of recycling materials to produce something more valuable than the original components. To this end, members were encouraged to use old cans, clothes, bottles or other unwanted objects. We have gathered a few examples of their work below.

Lamp made from fairy lights and an old bottle – Sophie Todd

Old can turned into a hanging plant pot – James Tanner (@jameswilliam_designs)

Old jeans bleached to make a tie die pattern – Ryan Charles (@ryancharlesart)
