Bangor’s oldest Drama Society is back and better than ever. If you are at all interested in
acting, directing, or anything else involving stagecraft, then this is where you’ll want to be.
Rostra has a great year coming up, starting off with our Fresher’s play, Find Me, and
continuing the hype with Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, which will be performed in Bangor’s
very own Pontio Theatre. After these performances, we open the floor to all our lovely
members to pitch their own favourites with a total of six slots a year, so don’t hesitate to have
your say. We also have our annual collaboration with VivArte of Italy, which will this year
include a visit to the beautiful city of Rome.
Rostra is not just a place for actors; we welcome people with interest in any area of theatre
production. Get involved in the tech side of things and rig the lighting of one of our shows or
get your craft on designing sets. Whether you want to be in the spotlight or behind the scenes,
we have a place for you!
Don’t feel like committing to a full-scale production just yet? Don’t worry! Rostra will be
having drama workshops every Wednesday evening for you to gain some confidence in your
skills, meet some cool people and have some fun with improv games. Not to mention,
everyone is always welcome at our socials! Like our ‘Adopt a Fresher’ Social, where you can
meet our members, old and new.
Whatever you do, don’t miss our auditions for Find Me on the 26 th , or Twelfth Night on the
27 th in Hen Goleg at 6pm. Don’t forget to join our Facebook group for more details and to stay
updated on what’s coming up.
We hope to see you all at Serendipity!
