Lindy Hop Society
Lindy Hop Taster Session!!!
Tuesday 1st October, 6pm – 8pm (location to be confirmed)
Would you like to learn to dance in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and above all have lots of fun?
Join Bangor University Lindy Hop Society!
Lindy Hop is a dance which evolved in 1920’s and 30’s America, and is usually danced to swing jazz
songs by the likes of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. It has a mix African and Caribbean influences,
and is open to improvisation. We are open to everyone, at all levels: whether you are an experienced
hopper or have never danced a step before. We particularly welcome those of you who want to try
something new. If you have two left feet, then this is the dance for you!
Still not sure if you want to join? Come along to our taster session on Tuesday 1st October! We will
meet regularly every Tuesday after that at 6pm (Location to be confirmed).
Also, find us at Serendipity, or join us via the Student Union Website. Look for our Facebook page at:
Lindy Hop Bangor University (Snowdonia Swing Society): there will be regular updates about the
location of all our sessions here.
We look forward to seeing you out on the dancefloor soon!
