Bangor University’s Monthly Student Newspaper is looking for new editors to join our team!

Interested in having your own section every month in print? Are you looking to find work experience in journalism, both online and print? Do you want to be part of strong and well-structured team?

We have elections on the 30th September in Pontio’s PL2!

Email editor@seren.bangor.ac.uk for the position you wish to run for. You can also have a second choice, but make sure to let us know which is your first preference.

You can also join our Seren Members 2019 / 2020 Facebook group. We will be posting updates there.

Make sure to come to our taster sessions on Monday 23rd (Braint Common Room, Ffriddoedd Village) and on Tuesday 24th (Pontio PL2) at 6:30PM.

We were nominated last academic year for “Best Media Society” at the National Societies Awards in Manchester.

Seren offers plenty of opportunities all over the year: we do coverage of sabbatical elections, varsity, protests and festivals. We are also open to photographers, proofreaders, designers and many more. Just let us know, and you will be able to contribute as part of the team.

Bangor University has had a publication at the University for over 100 years and it was re-named Seren in 1983.
We print in tabloid and have at least 40 full colour pages per issue.
We provide full media training and experience for our members in journalism, photography and newspaper design. To find out more about the benefits of membership, message us or join the Members Group on Facebook: ‘Seren Members 2019 / 2020’.
Seren is delivered to St. Mary’s and Ffriddoedd Halls of Residence, reaching 3,000 people directly. Our paper is also situated in stands around the University, located at: Pontio, Main Arts, John Phillips Hall and Main Arts Library. We also deliver to local businesses around Bangor.
