Students will receive emails informing them of proposed cuts to schools, Undeb Bangor can confirm.
Business case studies will be sent to those students whose schools are likely to be effected by the cutbacks.
An email from every Head Of School will be sent in the coming weeks to inform students of these business cases being distributed.
There is no confirmed date. However, Undeb Bangor has stated this will be happening as soon as possible.
Mark Barrow, Vice-President for Education, said: “We are delighted that the University has agreed to send the proposals to students who could potentially be effected.
“The Students’ Union believes that students should be properly informed of the situation.”
Undeb Bangor will also be hosting two sessions with the sabbatical team to update students on Bangor University’s financial situation.
Sessions will take place on the 19th December 11AM-1PM & 15th January 6PM-8PM in the Room Of Requirement in the Students’ Union.
There will also be a Q&A section to give students the opportunity to raise questions and concerns.
“I’m really pleased to see so many students voicing their concerns and opinions, as it shows lots of engagement within their course,” said Mark Barrow, VP for Education.
“We want students to let us know about any concerns they might have, as it helps us when we go back to the University Executive. They can email firstname.lastname@example.org.”
