Over the last few weeks, it seems that Disney have taken a stronghold on releasing teasers and trailers, with a trio of films that will undoubtedly please a vast audience throughout many generations. They did a marvellous job with the live action extravaganza of Beauty and the Beast last year, so the excitement will be higher than ever for the two remakes, and then the long awaited sequel to Wreck-It Ralph.
Christopher Robin:
The beloved Winnie the Pooh returns to the big screen in a live action, CGI film titled Christopher Robin. It stars Ewan McGregor as a grown up Christopher Robin, who relies on his childhood friend to reinvent himself. Already from this short clip, it looks to be an emotional encounter between the pair. Christopher Robin is set to be released on the 17th August 2018
Mary Poppins Returns:
In a blustery, 1930s London, the Banks children are all grown up, but that doesn’t stop the return of Mary Poppins. With Emily Blunt portraying the title character and taking over from the magnificent Julie Andrews, she looks perfect for the role, but it will be difficult not to compare her to her predecessor. One thing is for sure though, this musical fantasy film will be highly anticipated, with 54 years between this and the original. Mary Poppins Returns is set to be released on the 21st December 2018.
Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2:
Back in 2013, Wreck-It Ralph was released and was enjoyed by fans the world over. Now, Ralph and Vanellope return, and this time, the internet is at the forefront of their adventure. This looks a great plot-point for age groups alike, because it has transitioned nicely from retro gaming, into the 21st century technology, which I am very much looking forward to. Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 is set to be released on the 30th November 2018.
